The National Awards competition is your opportunity to be recognized locally. The World Photography Organisation and Sony are seeking to reward exceptional single images taken by local photographers with Indian nationality for its 2019 National Award.
All photographers with Indian nationality entering any of the ten Open categories of the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards are automatically entered into the India National Award.

The National Award winner receives:
Return flight to London & two nights accommodation to attend the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards Ceremony, Sony digital imaging equipment
To be eligible for the India National Award you must hold nationality of the country and currently be residing in the country at the time of the Award (June 1, 2018 – April 17, 2019)

1 overall winner, 1 winner and up to 15 shortlisted images per category
Photographers of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels are invited to enter their best single images into the Open competition for a chance to win $5,000 (USD), Sony Digital Imaging Equipment, a trip to London, and be crowned “Open Photographer of the Year”.
The judges are looking to award the best single images from across the following 10 diverse categories: Architecture, Culture, Creative, Motion, Landscape, Natural World & Wildlife, Portraiture, Still Life, Street Photography, and Travel.
- Open Photographer of the Year – $5,000 (USD) / Sony digital imaging equipment / Flights and accommodation to the awards ceremony in London / Included in exhibition at Somerset House, London
- Category winners – Sony digital imaging equipment / Publication in winners’ book / Included in the exhibition at Somerset House, London
